Field of Dreams memorabilia auctioned off to raise money for cancer center

Major League Baseball team is auctioning Yankees and White Sox game items on the Field of Dreams site to raise money for MercyOne Dubuque Cancer Center. Items include jerseys and batting helmets used by the team. The money will help buy supplies, provide educational experiences for staff, and help patients cover their travel and accommodation costs. Staff at the cancer center said the MLB members’ event spent time with patients during game day. “They took two hours on that day, which they could have spent in Dyersville in the Field of Dreams, but they took two hours on that day to come here, to recognize our patients, to recognize that we are with you, what you are going on, “said Chad Kruse, regional director of the MercyOne Dubuque Cancer Center. Each item starts to bid at $ 200. The auction will continue until Sept. 5.
