Indian Railways Allows Travel With Reservationless Tickets On Howrah-Bokaro Express Train

Indian Railways has again decided to issue reservationless tickets on the Howrah-Bokaro Express train. This is good news for the people of Bokaro district in Jharkhand. Reservationless tickets will be issued on the Howrah-Bokaro Express train from May 16.

The option of unreserved tickets was not available on the Howrah-Bokaro Express after the Covid-19 pandemic forced the railways to shut down operations in March 2020. Now, for the convenience of rail passengers, South Eastern Railway has again decided to start issuing unreserved tickets on the Howrah-Bokaro Express train.

Passengers likely to benefit from the decision:

Due to the unavailability of walk-in tickets on the Howrah-Bokaro Express train, passengers around Shiv Babudih and Talgaria stations faced many problems. From now on, passengers at these stations will be able to travel by Howrah Bokaro Express even with an unreserved ticket.

According to the Adra Railway Divisional Office, Howrah Bokaro Express car numbers DL-3, DL-4 and D-2 will run in non-reserved class from May 16 to July 2. With this decision, passengers will not be forced to travel only by purchasing reserved tickets. Reservationless tickets for this train will also be available at Shiv Babudih and Talgaria stations

Passengers traveling to Mahuda and Bhojudih will also benefit from this decision by availing non-reserved tickets. Local people, including day laborers, travel regularly with this train.

Hence, this move by Indian Railways will relieve passengers on this route as they can get to work comfortably. People also travel to Dhanbad by this train.

Apart from Howrah Bokaro Express, many other coaches on the Mail Express train will be operated as full class coaches.
