NewsWatch 12 Viewer Wins Sportsmen’s & Outdoor Recreation Show Grand Prize for Mexico Fishing Trip

MEDFORD, Oregon – A NewsWatch 12 viewer won a grand prize in Mexico for a fishing expedition after participating in the Virtual 2021 Sportsmen’s & Outdoor Recreation Show in late February.

Tyler Tull entered the contest offered by Baja Pirates, an elite exhibitor at the annual Medford Show. He ended up winning an all-expenses-paid trip for two to La Paz, Mexico, for three nights and two days of fishing.

Tull chose his father, Jack, to accompany him on the trip. The two left on August 2. After a layover in Salt Lake City, the couple traveled non-stop to Cabo and were eventually escorted to their luxury accommodation at the Marine Waterfront Hotel in La Paz, right next to Baja Pirates Marina. .

The couple enjoyed a two-day fishing expedition, net for several species of triggerfish, sea bream, needlefish, skipjack and rockfish.

“The Baja Pirates captains and guides were top notch and attended to our every need,” Tull said.

During the evening, Tull and his father were able to relax at the hotel, sample the local cuisine and take in the sights and sounds of nearby La Paz. Both said they have had the experience of a lifetime and are delighted to be back.

“Thank you to the Baja Pirates and ExpoSure and everyone else who made our fantastic trip possible,” Tull said. “We are planning a trip in the near future with the whole family!”

Tull is a regular NewsWatch 12 viewer and said he enjoyed the Sportsmen’s & Outdoor Recreation virtual show, but looks forward to the shows returning in 2022 at the Jackson County Expo.
