N’ville Home for the Holidays Tour returns – The Times of Noblesville
Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen has announced the return of the “Home for the Holidays” tour featuring Santa Claus.
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and public health concerns, several changes were made to the city’s holiday events last year, including the creation of the open-air neighborhood tour.
“The pandemic has prompted us to get creative and change our plans to keep the holiday spirit alive. What we saw were larger crowds of enthusiastic residents who really enjoyed the new format, ”Jensen said. “Because of the numbers we saw and the ability to thank our first responders and essential city workers, I decided to tour the neighborhood again this year. “
The “Home for the Holidays Tour” is led by Santa Claus, who will be joined by several city departments including police, fire department, streets, engineering, utilities and vehicle fleets as they make their way through the neighborhoods of Noblesville over the course of two weekends. in December.
Jensen added, “The Home for the Holidays tour allows us to bring Santa Claus to people. Last year we saw so many citizens of all ages and from all walks of life come out to see the municipal parade. I saw Grandparents FaceTiming the parade with family members, young children displaying homemade signs and some houses had a party with neighbors around a campfire. It was a good time to be outside and see so many smiling faces.
