Post-pandemic travel: 7 wishlist-worthy family trips
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all in one way or another. Whether you have suffered from an illness or the loss of a job, home or loved one, family vacation ideas might just have been the farthest thing from your mind.
But while we still have a ways to go before the restrictions in the pandemic era are lifted, more parents are thinking about places to visit with the kids when the pandemic is finally in the rearview mirror.
As you update your family travel list with new must-see experiences, here are some family vacation spots that deserve serious consideration. Each offers a multitude of child-friendly tourist attractions, family activities and chance to make memories.

Other fun places to visit with the kids include Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, the most famous hot dog stand in the country; Omnom chocolate ice cream store, where you can enjoy a Wolf hazel, arguably the greatest ice cream concoction on Earth; and Perlan, an innovative exploratorium with the world’s first covered ice cave and a simulated northern lights experience.

This low-cost carrier offers the perfect combination of departures from the United States at 11:00 p.m. (allowing you to sleep as you cross the Atlantic) and return flights in the evening (giving you a bonus of time in Paris on last day of your trip).
In the City of Light, offer children a lunch at The Café des Chats, a real cat cafe where a dozen fluffy cats live and relax among guests. Almost everyone can find something to enjoy at Louvre Museum, but a postcard afternoon at Luxembourg Gardens might appeal to kids if museums aren’t your family’s thing. The best places to visit with the kids, however, are the winding streets and winding alleys where you can wander freely and make some surprise discoveries – always with a fresh baguette or a Nutella pancake in hand.
