Yas Island to bring back live concerts for Eid Al Adha

This is a giant leap for events in the capital …

The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has announced that a series of concerts featuring huge regional talent will spearhead Eid Al Adha celebrations on the island. by Yas.

This news quickly follows yesterday’s confirmation that the fireworks will return to Yas for three days also during the Eid break.

From July 22 to 23, we can look forward to the concerts of Assala Nasri, Hussein Al Jasmi, Tamer Hosny and Myriam Fares all took place at the Etihad Arena. Tickets are on sale now, available in groups of two, three or four people and from 195 Dhs.

Speaking on the decision, HE Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “We are delighted to bring back live concerts for the first time since March 2020, featuring the best and brightest regional superstars for our Eid Al Adha Celebrations in Abu Dhabi.

“The concerts of these talented artists, the incredible fireworks lighting up the skies of our capital, as well as the diverse program of activities during the summer #inAbuDhabi all reaffirm Abu Dhabi as an exceptional and all-inclusive travel destination.”

What else is on the program for the event in Abu Dhabi ..?

Michael McIntyre will light up the stage at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island with his electric British spirit on July 16.

Find your hero a Disney On Ice show, will make an extended run in the capital with weekend dates between September 2 and September 11, still in the Etihad Arena.

A night “An evening with Russell Peters” The show is booked for September 17, also at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

And between December 9 and 12, the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix will once again take place on Yas Island.

Safety first

Security procedures at Etihad Arena for upcoming Eid events will include

  • Participants aged 16 and over are required to present a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours and to prove that they took their second dose of vaccine more than 28 days ago (and showing the E mark golden or * in the ALHOSN application).
  • Participants aged 12 to 16: must receive a negative PCR test valid for 48 hours and must not be vaccinated
  • Children under 12 are not permitted to attend concerts.
  • All ticket holders must present their Emirates ID card (or personal ID for non-residents in the country) and download the ALHOSN app to display their status upon entry.
